Carole King, James Taylor head to U.S. for Troubadour Tour

Carole King and James Taylor have finally made their way to the U.S. with their Troubadour Tour!

The duo kicked off the state-side tour with a special two night performance on June 12-13 at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn. The tour is scheduled to wrap up on July 20 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif.

During the next month, James Taylor and Carole King tickets will be available at a number of venues, including Verizon Center in Washington, D.C., New York’s Madison Square Garden, Denver’s Pepsi Center and more.

Unlike their past solo concerts, the Troubadour performances offer fans an intimate seating around the stage with tables for two circling the stage. The official website cites it as a recreation of “the intimacy of a vintage nightclub within the high-energy atmosphere of a modern arena performance–paying tribute to Carole King and James Taylor’s legendary 1970 performances at L.A.’s famed Troubadour club.”

Carole King and James Taylor are embarking on the “Troubadour Reunion” World Tour, which will hit over three continents this spring.

The singer-songwriters will kick things off March 27th in Melbourne, Australia, and will then head into New Zealand and Japan before making their way into North America and Europe.

The reunion was planned after Taylor and King joined forces to celebrate LA’s Troubadour’s 50th Anniversary. In 1969, the two performed together there, marking King’s debut as a solo artist.
